Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

You have no idea how glad I am to be able to say that, so I'll keep it very brief. You see, I had a heart attack this past week and got the be-jaybers scared out of me! I do believe it's called a "WAKE UP CALL". The doctor was very happy with the way I responded to treatment  so my hospital stay was short. This week, tho, I go back for a consult on peripheral artery bypass surgery on both legs, so we'll see what happens next.  Okay, are we having fun yet?
I made this card a little while back, as soon as I saw these precious images on HouseMouse. I'm so glad I did because just looking at these precious meeses makes me feel better. I hope they do the same for you, and that everyone has a HAPPY and HEALTHY New Year!!!!!!!

Here's the inside.

No need to panic!

Almost forgot these, til they came in the mail yesterday. Two gift cards from Amazon, in their mega large envelopes, which had me stumped for a minute. Not much time cuz they had to be gifted today at son's office but I think I found a simple yet effective solution. Tilda and Santa to the rescue! Kept it fast and simple but I hope they''re festive enough to satisfy the "giftee". The ornaments on Tilda's card are red and silver metallic stickers and they really sparkle. Too bed it doesn't show so well on the card :(
Santa's dropping off a bag of Jolee's presents and both cards have little charms attached and puffy paint for accents and Santa's beard.Oh yes, and plenty of gloss and glitter, too.

Starlight, Starbright

Quick share this morning. I made this simple card for OWH Christmas a while back and just wanted to let him wish everyone a Merry Christmas from his precarious perch atop the tree. Just a couple more projects now, and I'm done for the season! It's really slow going these days but I'm getting into a new routine. Not as productive as I'd like to be but adjusting to limitations and, as always, having fun. Now, back to coloring my last two cards and I can breathe easily!!

Now, how the heck's he gonna get down from there!!?

It's all in the Presentation

I've had this project planned, and the ornament trees purchased, for the better part of a year but, as you all have experienced, sometimes the best laid plans, etc., etc., etc. ......
Actually, I did manage to get everything done according to plan, just took some shortcuts I hadn't expected to take. Due to circumstances, I skipped some of the "handmade from scratch ideas" and relied on K and Company punch out little purses and Christmas decorations. Thank goodness for that company cuz I probably wouldn't have been able to muddle through without them. They saved me tons of work and much back pain in the process, so Thank You, K and Company. You saved the day! Here are several pics of my finished trees using flotsam and jetsom from my stash to glitz them up. I figure if the gift can't be original, at least the presentation can. Hope these guys survive the trip through Priority Mail to their destination (with fingers crossed.)

The cone and little box are filled with Hershey Mint Kisses, at least they were, until I packed them. Now they're rattling around in the bottom of the box! That's okay. It gives my sis something to do when the packages arrive. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

What do you send to an 11 year old boy?

I CASEd this one, pure and simple. Just added an MS punched snowflake and a Die-Namics icicle border from MFT, along with some of the gorgeous SU Diamond Ice EP to all the white stuff. Love that EP, Gives the image just the right amount of sparkle without hiding the original color. The sentiment and reindeer are Hero Arts. I know I owe someone a thank you for this layout, so - thanks bunches. I was at a loss as to what to make for this guy. Sweet and girly just don't work here! Hope he likes it.

'Tis the Season

Well, it's been over a month since my last post  but I've slowly but surely been putting some cards and projects together for the upcoming holidays. It's been a rough month and I haven't been able to accomplish much until the last few days. Soooooo frustrating, not being able to do much of anything but finally I'm able to do some coloring and finish my family cards that were started a while back. I can do a little more every day and hope that SOON I'll be back in full force. Lots of ideas bouncing around in my head and I really, really want to do more than sit/lie and watch the tube.BORING!!!  Hope everyone who celebrates had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is looking forward to a great holiday season. I know I am.
Here's my first project, CAS, with my new Poppystamps Window die, Hero Arts Happy Holidays trees and my little cutie pie Santa House Mouse. I put acetate "glass" in the window and a little puffy paint "snow" on the ground.

I added some peel off gold liner around the front window and cut the corner flourishes from Spellbinders craft metal with my Cuttlebug. Happy Crafting, y'all!!
