Since Tilda told Edwin about her fun fishing excursion he's been wanting to try out his new rod and reel himself, so he hie'd his way to the old fishing hole and settled in for some good old fashioned fun. Well, it looks like he's gotten himself so lost in daydreaming that he's forgotten what he's there for. Now that brings up a good question. His mind is obviously elsewhere, but where is that? Thinking of Tilda and her successful adventure, maybe wishing he'd brought some of that fresh baked apple pie his mom has sitting in the kitchen window to cool, or maybe just thinking how he wished Tilda was there with him. Whatever the case, he's completely oblivious to the little fish nibbling at his line as well as the mermaid who's just found his message in a bottle that he threw in the water last season. Do you suppose he'll wake up in time to take advantage of the situation or will he just sit there dreaming the day, and his opportunities, away? You guess. I made the card so now it's your turn to interpret it!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is just as cute as it can be Sue - I love it!! You and I have so much in common - you like to fish and I like to eat fish!! I love all the elements of this card ... they all fit so nicely together. That yellow plaid is terrific. Very nicely planned and orchestrated.

Oh, Sue! What a cute story and darling card! Poor Edwin - he seems destined to lose both the fish and mermaid if he's not careful! Wonderful job coloring and putting everything together.
